During World War II, aircrews from the RAF, SAAF and USAAF saw strange lights & other odd objects during sorties over Occupied Europe. Air Intelligence agencies collected information on the phenomenon but could not explain what was happening, beyond a strong suspicion that German secret weapons were to blame.

In the immediate post-war period, searches of German design, testing & construction facilities failed to find anything that could have solved the mystery.

This book looks at the encounters which happened across Germany, Italy & the Balkans in depth. It also examines weapon systems (both real & imagined) that have been suggested as possible explanations, & dispels the Nazi flying disc myth that began in the 1950s.
