In the summer of 1992, I travelled around north-eastern Siberia, visiting some rather interesting locations and flying in a variety of Aeroflot aircraft and helicopters. This was just six months after the fall of the Soviet Union, so everything was in a curious transition period from the old ways to uncharted territory. It was an amazing experience, and one I have wanted to share for a long time.
